The 2024 Prospect League Champion Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp are seeking a PA Announcer to join our team to be the next Public Address Announcer and DJ of Pistol Shrimp games at Schweickert Stadium!
Responsibilities Include:
- Act as the Public Address Announcer for all Pistol Shrimp home regular season and playoff games.
- Announce in-game action including but not limited to: lineups, pre-game activities, in-game promotions, in-game activities, sponsorship mentions, and all other game script items.
- Act as Stadium DJ for all Pistol Shrimp home regular season and playoff games.
- Operate all music as Stadium DJ including but not limited to: pregame music, player walk-ups, between-innings music, in-game sound effects, and all other game script items.
- Be an integral part of and work closely with the Pistol Shrimp Communication and Media Department including the in-game emcee, play-by-play voice, color commentator, official scorekeeper, etc.
The Pistol Shrimp are in search of candidates local to the Illinois Valley or within reasonable driving distance that can fulfill this position this season and beyond!
The Voice of Schweickert Stadium is be paid on a per-game rate starting at $15 per hour.
