Public Address Announcer ( Horse Racing )

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Responsible for announcing live racing events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.

• Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.

• Responsible for calling races and giving accurate and knowledgeable race information during the races.

• Responsible for informing the public of information given out by the judges.

• Responsible for informing the betting public of any scratches and or changes during the race program.

• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required. Background and experience with announcing racing preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of horse racing and some background in announcing.
