The Sandhills Bogeys are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Public Address Announcer Intern to bring excitement to every home game! This intern will be the voice of the ballpark, making in-game announcements, energizing the crowd, playing music, and ensuring a fun atmosphere for fans. This is a perfect opportunity for students or aspiring sports broadcasters to gain hands-on experience in live event entertainment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary voice of the Sandhills Bogeys at all home games.
  • Announce starting lineups, in-game updates, sponsor advertisements, and other promotions.
  • Engage and interact with the crowd to create a fun and lively atmosphere.
  • Play music and sound effects to enhance the game-day experience.
  • Work closely with the game operations team to follow scripts and schedules.
  • Ensure smooth transitions between innings, promotional activities, and music.
Qualifications:
  • Strong, clear speaking voice with good enunciation and energy.
  • Ability to read from a script while also making spontaneous announcements.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of large crowds and engaging with fans.
  • Basic knowledge of baseball rules and game flow.
  • Experience with audio equipment and music software is a plus.
  • Available for all home games, including nights and weekends.
  • Positive, energetic attitude with a passion for sports and entertainment.
