QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be 18 years of age
  2. IVP Fingerprint card preferred
  3. Ability to pass a background investigation
  4. Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
  5. Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Seasonal
COMPENSATION:  Varies based on sport
REPORTS TO:  Site Athletic Director

Approved Salary Schedule for events  – Please note multiple games may happen per sport per night depending on scheduling.
Athletic Event Worker Pay – High School   ** Amount Instance

BASEBALL – Announcer, Scorekeeper (Varsity only) $48.00 per game
BASKETBALL – Announcer (Varsity Only), Security*, Ticket Seller/Taker, Timer $24.00 per game
FOOTBALL – Announcer (Varsity Only), Chains (Varsity Only), Security*, Spotter (Varsity Only) Ticket Seller/Taker, Timer $64.00 per game
SOCCER – Scoreboard, Security*, Ticket Seller/Taker $32.00 per game
SOFTBALL – Announcer, Scorekeeper, Ticket Seller/Taker  (Varsity Only) $48.00 per game
VOLLEYBALL – Scorer, Security*, Ticket Seller/Taker, Timer $24.00 per game
WRESTLING (3-way) Scorer, Security*, Ticket Seller/Taker $48.00 per meet
WRESTLING (Dual) Scorer, Security*, Ticket Seller/Taker $24.00 per meet

**This schedule is based on an estimated average number of hours per event and an average hourly wage of $16.00. QCUSD students are
not to be paid on this schedule for services rendered.
*If current position is security guard, then employee will receive over-time


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  1. Assists in setting-up and break down of facility for athletic events, ticket sales and/or running the clock, keeping scorebook, running the scoreboard and other game-day responsibilities as needed.
  2. Maintain and create an atmosphere of safety and excellent customer service
  3. Provide assistance to event attendees or staff when needed or asked.
  4. Enforce District policies at all times.
  5. Performs various similar duties as required by circumstances at specific events, such as clearing trash from facilities.
  6. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  7. Announcer will need to complete the NFHS P.A. Annoucer Course https://nfhslearn.com/courses/p-a-announcing
