Job Description:
The Athletic Department at Oakton College is seeking qualified individuals to provide staff support for home intercollegiate athletic contests for multiple functions.
- Operate game/match scoreboard within the rules parameters of the sport.
- Maintain time/shot clock within the rules parameters of the sport.
- Keep the official game/match scorebook within the rules parameters of the sport.
- Maintain game/match statistics within the rules parameters of the sport.
Act as a game/match public address announcer providing announcements and music as needed.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the game rules for volleyball, soccer, basketball, baseball and softball.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive role model for young adults.
- Ability to work independently in a chaotic environment.
Additional Information:
Salary: $15 per hour

An “out-of-state employee” is defined as an employee of Oakton College whose primary work location is outside of the state of Illinois. State taxes, employment tax, and worker’s compensation provisions vary from state to state and require payroll compliance with these various rules.
Allowable States for Out-of-State Employment
All employees must maintain their primary residence in Illinois, Indiana, or a reciprocal state with Illinois. Reciprocal states include Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Illinois has tax agreements with these reciprocal states. Employees may have their primary residence in Indiana since Indiana is adjacent to Illinois.
