Public Address Announcer ( Division II Hockey )

Help wanted!  We’re looking for Ohio students to work with us for the 2025-2026 season!

The Public Address Announcer will work within the Ohio Hockey Division 2 Media Team. They will be responsible for announcing over the loudspeaker and playing music at home games.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide scoring, penalty, period updates, and various information to the audience during the game using a microphone and PA system
• Operate the music in bird arena
• Work with the Media Director to ensure that fans are engaged during games

 Reporting

• The PA Announcer will report directly to the Media Director
• The PA Announcer can expect to work around 10 hours a week during the 27-week season

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of ice hockey referee signals
• Basic knowledge or a background in Hockey
• Experience in the broadcasting/announcing field with a strong vocabulary 
• Loud voice and excellent enunciation of words
• Strong and passionate work ethic
• Ability to attend all Ohio D2 Hockey home games
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to take initiative and be creative
• Ability to work in a sports environment in a professional manner
