Master of Ceremonies for Fundraisers

Virtual Event Presenter & Announcer is a professional MC/Hype person, that is responsible for managing over 200 virtual fundraisers per year. Each event is one hour. The typical audience will be youth, high school, or college athletes.

This role is to get the audience excited and maintain energy and momentum throughout the fundraiser. The main tasks are to introduce the fundraiser and explain it in a way that puts them at ease. They must also be able to perform each task in a timely fashion, ensure a seamless transition between sections of the fundraiser and keep the event moving at a steady pace within the hour time constraints.

The person in this role cannot be dull or having a bad day. They are the life of the fundraiser, so they need to come prepared with a lot of energy and vibe. If they are too serious, the job is not for them. They have to know how to tell jokes without offending people.

The job hours will typically be from 12pm – 8pm PST with some weekends. Opportunity for hybrid office (Tualatin, OR) and work from home.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Work Experience: Preferred experience speaking in front of people
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills
  • Driven to succeed and able to overcome obstacles
  • Coachable and Teachable
  • Computer literacy (Zoom, Google Meets, Google Calendar, Gmail, Adobe PDF, Word)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt your style/presentation to the needs of the group
